Rose is a 19-year-old woman from contemporary London within the series’ narrative. The latter becomes the best friend and traveling companion of The Ninth Doctor when he regenerates into his new form (played by Eccleston) after being hit by a car and falling out of time.

In common with other companions of The Doctor within the program’s original run, Rose goes on many adventures with The Doctor during her tenure as his companion across both episodes that form part of their own stories as well as those set aside from those main plots; however, her tenure is shorter than most due to changes made within continuity following cancellation at the end of its fourth season.

Leading her departure occurring earlier than planned – which sees them leave one another after previously surviving death together before eventually returning together for one last adventure where they say goodbye properly before parting ways again permanently without any plans being made for future contact between each other.

There Are Several Previous Characters With This Name.

Rose Tyler was a companion of the ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston. She appeared in the 2005 series finale, The Parting of the Ways, and remained a recurring character until Doomsday in Series 3.

Rose later returned for both David Tennant’s final story (The End of Time) and Matt Smith’s first tale (The Day of the Doctor). A few years ago, there was also another incarnation played by Billie Piper, who appeared in two episodes – School Reunion and The Girl In The Fireplace.
