Fast X is the latest installment in Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious franchise, which has generated more than $6 billion worldwide to date. After Lin’s departure, Justin and Dan Mazeau authored the film, with Louis Leterrier taking over as director. Rita Moreno, Dominic Toretto’s grandmother, joins the cast of Fast X, which is currently in high gear (Vin Diesel). Moreno stated that because of her age, she is now ready to be a part of Fast X. As Anita in West Side Story, Moreno was nominated for an Academy Award in 1962, and she is currently playing Valentina, the best friend of the Jets, in Steven Spielberg’s reimagining of the musical.
It’s also the best moment to do it, she said. Diesel posted the news on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to work with the greats of Hollywood. Fast and Furious fans will be pleased to learn that Moreno has been cast as Diesel’s grandma in the upcoming movie. It can be seen in the video that Diesel is seated next to co-star Michelle Rodriguez and Moreno herself, who says she is only waiting for an invitation to join the multi-millionaire business.
There is little doubt that Moreno will make a significant contribution to the team going forward. One of only 24 people in the history of film to receive Academy, Emmy, and Tony Awards in addition to a Grammy Award proves that she is truly a talented artist. The Puerto Rican superstar has also lately joined the voice group of Maya and the Three, which is also a Puerto Rican institution.
Tyrese Gibson, a Fast & Furious star, has indicated that Fast X will expand on the previous story of Diesel (Diesel).
