At the national competition that will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, from June 1923, Christian Verdon will win the gold medal in the Electrical Wiring category, and Kyle Hadley will win the gold medal in the Automotive Service category.

In the state competition for Industrial Motor Control, Verdon has been awarded the gold medal for the second time.

He stated that the practical exam was very different from the one given the year before since students were asked to assemble an oil burning water heater.

“I couldn’t tell you what it was because we’d never seen anything like it in a retail establishment before.”

After being asked several questions by him, he claims that the judges discussed their decisions with the other contestants and shared their responses.

Verdon states that only two of the twelve people who started the project were able to complete the project, even though they put all their efforts into it.

Hadley competed for the first time at the state level and won a gold medal in automotive services. He was  to diagnose three different vehicles and work at seven other stations to demonstrate his knowledge of the repair process and  his certification exam skills.

Each participant had to complete a mock interview in order to participate in the contest. Hadley described the situation as  problematic.

The convention took place on Friday and the students stayed overnight in Marlboro to see it. The next day, they were awarded an award and presented to commemorate the opportunity.

Hadley received an educational grant of over $ 35,000 and an expensive Snapon Ratchet set as a prize to complete the application process. As for Hadley’s future, he plans it all.

Dimitri Kostenko of the Department of Structural Engineering won a silver medal in the woodworking category. Besides, it was necessary to install drywall, house wrap and sugi shake. According to Kostenko, profitability has improved over the last two years.

As a token of gratitude, Doiron was presented with a set of Snapon drivers and some versaries. After graduating, he will join his father’s business, the Southwick Collision Center, as a full-time employee.
